Hi David
Just been reading your posts; commiserations on not finding anything on your visit .
Anyway, the more I read, I suddenly realised that I have found a Stevenson in my husband's tree which maybe could be linked with yours.
My research is not very deep as yet as I too need to go to Northampton RO but I have:
Elizabeth Saunders Stevenson (born circa 1879) marrying William Barker 01 Aug 1898 Northampton
She is the daughter of Robert Smith Stevenson bc 1849 Brixworth
Any connection?

Hi Fue,
Thanks for the message. It doesnt ring any bells, I think I need to expand the males in my tree rather than just going back paternally. I'll get back to you if I find anything.
David.

And I will take your list when I go and if I find anything I will let you know. Although some of the places you have quoted are not very near to Brixworth, one or two are so you never know.
Also there are only 77 Stevensons in Northampton on the 1841 census which is pretty good odds - at least it is better than looking for our Williams-es wouldn't you agree?
