Thanks Sandy. You have been a real stalwart over the last 6 months or so thank you. As a seasoned family historian, what would you do if you were in my position?

Sorry it is the Northamptonshire Marriage Index.
David let us see what else we can help with.
I will check what else I may be able to assist with in a moment.
There is so much information by Northants Folk available, I just wished we could have helped before your journey.

It was a bit stupid going before being advised by good people on here.

Good grief David it is entirely up to each person how they do their own research. There is no need to feel stupid as you put it.
Something to keep in mind Little Bowden (used to be Northants) and Gt Bowden are in Leicestershire. I think they also have Brampton Ash at Leics Library need to check.
As to Brampton Ash it is such a small hamlet on the boundary that I would image it would take an awfully long time to fill up the Register so contacting the Vicar for assistance with Baps, Marrs, Burials you require would be an idea.
I can not see some of the Baptisms you want, will carry on looking.

Hi David you need to ask assistance from Alan Clarke who has Baptisms (some Non-conformists) for Northamptonshire 1700-1812.
Marriages from pre- 1700 and onwards and quite a few other resources besides, also other Northants Folk who have web links too.
I did put up some resources recently I will find the topic and put the link for you here.
Answer to question yes there are Stevenson, Spriggs etc.

The only other thing I found (which ironically was at home last night) was on FamilySearch.org and not sure if it possibly could be Williams brother.
George Stevenson married Esther Dickens 13 Nov 1815, Brampton Ash.

Hi again David.
I know what you mean about finding things when you get home.
Yesterday I spent 2 hours (after 5 at the Latter Day Saints) looking for some information for my friend in Jamaica only to try again when I got home and bingo just changed the spelling and there he was.
Alan is a Rootschatter he can be found here or by goog***** and noted here http://www.northants1841.fsnet.co.uk/
I have been with my best friend all day as whilst we had taken her grand-daughter horse riding she had a call to say her father had just died.
I stayed with her grand-daughter so she could have her lesson.
So I am now trying to keep myself busy as stressful day.
If there is any more help you need please just shout.
There are many Rootschatters all willing to expand your tree.

Thanks David.
I heard he was not well with cancer the same day as another Rootschatters father was taken ill a few weeks ago.
I asked Michelle how long did she think her father had and she thought awhile so it was a hugh shock it happened today.
So many others here are going through similiar heartbreak I am just trying to assist Michelle as best I can.
Maybe after contacting Alan and others you may find answers to your family.

Must be awful. I suppose the only thing was that she knew it was coming, not something sudden and unexpected.
But the time she thought he had must have been a huge blow to her.
Send her my love and best wishes. David.
