I don't know if anyone who has connections to Brettenham might be interested in this photo.  Written on the back, in my mother's handwriting, is ' Mr Williams & horseman with 'Blossom' and her foal (1938)'.

What a lovely clear photograph Greensleeves  Grin

It's the sort of thing that appears daily in the East Anglian Daily times, then on Monday they have a page of about five photographs and another page with all the letters writing in with regard to photographs, such as filling in names of people etc.

There is a Local History Recorder for the parish of Brettenham, if you wanted to find out more about the Williams family?

Can PM the details  Wink

Hi Pat
The EADT features sound interesting.  I must get hold of  copies sometime.  I know that my family was not related to the Williams family - I think that some of my mother's family probably worked for Mr Williams, as they all seemed to be Ag Labs.  My mother was born in Brettenham, and moved to Ipswich in the 1930s.  She used to tell wonderful stories of riding on the cart-horses when she was a child.  Alas, a world lost to us now!

I would be interested to have contact details for the Local History Recorder for Brettenham, if possible, please.
Regards
