Surname HYLAND

I am looking for any links to my fathers family from East Sussex with the above surname.

My grandparents were STEPHEN SPENCER HYLAND married to EVELEEN BELLEW COX, Tatsfield Surrey 1902.

I have managed to trace back several generations but if anyone else is also researching this name I would love to hear from them.

Surnames linked to Hyland include: PIPER, WATERHOUSE, MESSAGE, PERRY, PILBEAM.

Hi Laurie,
I don't know if we are linked as my great grandparents were Alma Piper & John Hyland they had a son Frank (brother to my grandfather Stephen Spencer), they also had two daughters Kate & Sarah. Sarah died soon after birth.

Alma's parents were Sarah Winchester & Spencer Piper.

Not linked. I am a PIPER and have researched all who are related, even distant. Your family have cropped up and I have them in my tree.

My mum was a Pilbeam and I also have Message in my tree and a Waterhouse.

From what part of Sussex do you links come from?

Thanks for replying, sorry we are not linked.

I would be very interested to know how my family show in your tree, do you have my great grandparents or my 2x great grandparents (Sarah [Winchester] & Spencer Piper)?

I have a photo of Alma Piper, my great grandmother is she connected to you?

I have tried to go back further with my Piper line as I also like to research my female side but I have not had any success with finding Spencer Piper's parents only his father but I think his mother was Frances, can you help?

Yes you are right. I have William Piper C1775 & Frances c1775.
It is thought that his parents were William Piper 1743 Heathfield - Ann Knight Mar 1744 Heathfield.
Married 20/7/1768   All Saints Church , Heathfield , Sussex.
This and all fact you need to check.

Spencers Siblings I have as

William Piper 6/1800 Bodiam - 1802 Bodiam.
William Piper 2/1803 - Bodiam.
John Piper 2/1803 - Bodiam.
Edward Piper 7/1807 - Bodeham Kent.Not sure re spelling.
George PIper 4/1810 - Bodiam.
Henry Piper 1814 - Bodiam.
Spencer Piper 4/1814 - Bodiam - 9/1884 - Hailsham.
Thomas PIper 2/1820 - Bodiam. 

Please check, but that is what I have, it will at least get you looking. I do have family for Spencer , Henry , Thomas & Edward.
