Hi Everyone,
                  I have a John Harris b:abt 1843 Smethwick, occupation-Publican married to Sarah (unknown) 1845 Oldbury.

I'm hoping someone is able to find them on the 1851 & 1861 census's for me, to see what children they had please.

He's only going to be 17 years old at 1861 (and she 15 years) . Would they even be married by then?

If John and Sarah were born 1843/1845 they couldn't have been married in 1851 census and possibly not by the 1861 census, so which census information or other details do you already have for them, where did you get the information about John's occupation?

Waiting for Ruby to come back with details though, as in 1871 John's still living at home, single, d.o.b. given as 1849, and a gun filer, so am puzzled about what information she wants and whether it's the right John

Sorry Everyone for waiting, just been busy a while,
     
I'm trying to find the info out myself, with your help.
My contact says they had 3 children, Awetha 1864 Smethwick, John 1867 Birmingham and Rosana 1870 Birmingham.
The details of the parent's are what i gave you above, so if these 3 children help with the census's this is all i have.

Can you go BACK to your contact and ask which records they have for this family unit, with REFs.
I can't see any of 'em in either 1871 or 1881.

                What access i have to familysearch and also Ancestry i can't find nothing matching either.

The actual search was from Ada Mary? Harris 1898-1960 Smethwick who married Thomas Joseph Edwards b: 1892 Birmingham, well it's Ada's parent's we was going to try and find out about and this morning she's come up with her parent's being John W Harris b:1867 Birmingham occupation:Screw Machinest and married to Ada (unknown) b:abt 1868 Birmingham.

The ones i asked about earlier are surposed to be John W Harris's parent's but i can't find nothing on John W Harris either.

Pauline could you see if those are Ada's parent's for me if not i'm going to have to get back to her because i can't find anything but you have more access and i would appreciate it very much.

        You have what my contact as, so the 1901 census is correct but are you able to find John the head of the family his parent's please because this is where we're having trouble.
