There is a perfectly good candidate in 1881 based on the 1901 age & birthplace.
If you are not prepared to follow up with certificates then I'd go for that one.

Look at accessing Ancestry from your local library if you haven't got it at home.

I've never been on this site before so I'm not sure what I'm doing but this family you're looking for is my maternal grandmother's family - I have quite a lot of information on them if you want to contact me and let me know what you need filling in on - e.g. Harriett Watkins was married as Harriet Harwood as this was her second marriage.  William Harris and Harriet had eight children then she died and he remarried and had another eight, the youngest living one, Ellen Elizabeth, was my grandmother.  You can contact me on (*) if you want any more information.  I'm perfectly happy to share whatever I have.

I just checked John's birth and I have him born in Aston Cantlow and married to Ada ? so are you sure this is the family you are looking for?
