burial of William Tuckwood bap.1779 and Elizabeth Tuckwood bap 1779(nee Granger)
« on: Wednesday 25 February 09 21:07 UTC (UK) »

Hi folks, could anyone help me find the burials of William Tuckwood bap.1779 and his wife Elizabeth (nee Granger)bap 1779/80
From 1803 they lived and had all their children in St.Mary's Nottingham.I've found a burial in Willoughby-on-the-Wolds for Elizabeth Tuckwood 1822,but I don't think this the right one.
Regards

Hi

I think I have found Elizabeth. Quite a long story though.

William and Elizabeth had 7 children baptised at Nottm St Mary 1808 - 1822.
Be careful because there was another Elizabeth Tuckwood baptised 1797 Rad St Peter and Buried 1806.
Anyway William was a shoemaker and lived
1814 Boot Lane
1822 Cross Street
I hope this is your William.

They had a daughter called Charlotte Bap 1808 buried 1823 aged 15 Nottm St Mary abode Cross St

There is also a burial for Elizabeth 20.11.1825 aged 30 Nottm St Mary Cross St. Now I know she should be 40-45 but they did not know their age and anything could be put down. Do you know who her parents were or where she was baptised?

I cannot find Williams burial.

All references NFHS CDs.

Hi Jane, thanks for your reply.I can't seem to find Elizabeth's parents or her bap.as I don't know how to find out where she came from.Any idea's? Nothing comes up for Nottingham and there are so many Elizabeth Granger's!! I've tried I.G.I and the 1841 census but nothing.Their last son George was born 1817 and when he got married in 1839 his father,William, was dead.On his marriage cert.it gives his father as a shoemaker-deceased.So his father died between 1817 and 1839,but strangly there is no record anywhere. Huh Huh
I hate these brickwalls!!!The info is somewhere but where!!!!
