royal welsh fusiliers in ireland

hi could anybody give any info on royal welsh fusiliers serving in ireland in 1800s ..my ggrandad was born kilkenny in 1835 ..we always thought he was welsh ...when trying to check with the r.w.f. they had no record of him but said it was interesting that the r.w.f. regiement was serving in kilkenny at that time ..(my ggrandad was irish he was christened into the church of ireland the year of his birth ...did the regiement marry irish girls ..i know my ggrandad was a gardner in kilkenny untill he joined the connaught rangers at about aged 17 years ..trying to find out about my gggrandad thanks joma Undecided

Price in Kilkenny and Limerick

hi i am looking for any Prices in Kilkenny and Limerick ..my ggrandad was born Joseph Price in Kilkenny in 1835 and joined the connaught rangers in Limerick at 16 years of age ...i am told that Price is an uncommon name in Ireland ...so any info very welcome
