Can anyone help help me with the Rutherford family, born in the Perthshire, Little Dunkeld, Perth Aria.
The information i have is as follows.
John Rutherford, born 1832, Little Dunkeld, Perth, Scotland, Died after 1901, Wife Catherin Allen.
James Rutherford, Perthshire, Scotland, married to May.
They had a son Hugh Rutherford, born 1880, Little Dunkeld, Perth.
Hugh left Scotland for South Africa and had a son Thomas Henry Rutherford.

Hi Chris,
I have 1881 Census transcription for the John Rutherford/Catherine Allan family, including Hugh aged 8 months'.
I also have GRO images for John's death in 1906 and Catherine's death in 1916; John at Birnam Cottage, Little Dunkeld and Catherine at St Catherine's Birnam, Little Dunkeld
John's parents are given as Robert Rutherford [General Labourer] and his mother, Margaret L--thian [probably LOTHIAN?]. The informant was Robert Rutherford (Son) who wrongly gives his fathers spouse's name as Catherine Patterson [the maiden name of Catherine's mother!] instead of Allan, and incorrect age for his father as 72 years instead of 74 or 75.
Catherine's parents are given as James Allan [Coal Miner] and Isabella Patterson ....Informant John Rutherford (Son).
