born in Wigtownshire about 1850 and immigrated to Canada in 1882. Possibly with his sister Janet. served with the Highlander regiment Parent might be Elizabeth Andrews and Alexander Neilson looking for any information and living relatives

1871 think this will help you prove you have the right family the name todd appears here 1871 alexander neilson age 49. b. newton stewart. occ. letter carrier. head elizabeth age 48. b. glasserton. wife ann age 15. b. newton stewart. daughter. susan age 13. b. ditto. daughter cumming andrew age 11. b. ditto. son elizabeth neilson todd age 6. b. ditto. granddaughter living at;24,albert street,penninghame,newton stewart,wigtonshire.

Thankyou, I know my Alexander Todd came to Canada in 1882 that he served with the 72nd regiment Seaforth Highlanders from 1868 - 1881 served in Afganistan was in 1878. Do you know how I could get military records?
