Tulloch - Flett - has anyone unravelled this?

Hi there - has anyone access to the original records in  Shetland or unravelled this?

On Scotlands People there are the following birth records:-
In Nesting,Lunnasting,Whalsay and Skerries in Shetland

Ann Tulloch 22/1/1837
James Tulloch 19/9/1830
John Tulloch 24/12/1835
Margaret Tulloch 19/11/1832
Mary Tulloch 19/11/1832

Parents listed as Mes Tulloch and Jean Flett.
The records aren't available for view on SP, but gives the GROS Data reference.

The IGI has the exact same birth names and dates but has the births in Sandwick, Orkney to James Tulloch and Jean Flett.

Can anyone tell me why, it's driving me mad. Jean Flett Tulloch died 2nd Feb 1891 in Sandwick, Orkney.

Hi Murphyz  -  The website bayanne.info/Shetland has a comprehensive list of the births which took place there but it has no record of the births you mention.  It would seem that SP has indexed the county of birth as Shetland instead of Orkney.  Perhaps it would be best if you were to contact them, pointing out the apparent mistake.

Thank you very much. I have now had an email from GROS advising that the births shown on Scotlands People under Shetland for Mes and Jean Tulloch have been wrongly indexed and all the children were born in Sandwich, Orkney.
