looking at the 1841, Mary A Bullin is actually in Besthorpe, whereas Pilgrim isnt around...
need the Birth Cert mentioned by Wozzers, or a PR lookup to verify ....

I found the following in Besthorpe.
Hannah Harriett EASTDALE Born 20/04/1851 , bap 11/01/1852 daughter of James & Mary Ann EASTDALE . also Robert ESTOLL Bn 08/04/1842 , bap 03/07/1842 son of James & Mary Ann ESTOLL.. Robert EASTOLL bn 10/06/1846 bap 23/08/1846 son of James & Mary Ann EASTOLL ..
I have a feeling that Mary Ann may have been from Stow Bedon where a lot of Bullens came from....
Note that there are many various spellings of this name some spelt Estole, Eastole etc...

Thanks for the reference looks very interesting,I have sent for birth cert Hannah Harriet Eastol b. jun Q. Wayland 1851 and will contact you again on reciept. What was the source of your ref.? Ihave details of Hannah Harriet's marriage to William henry jones a farm hand working at Eccles farm and living 2 Low Common (which I have found on google earth. their daughter my grandmother Edith Maria Jones 15yrs. 1901 census eventualy married a Soldier George Alfred Smith of the 2nd dragoons and ended up as a Sergeant in the tank corp ( 1st. W.W. ). Do you know of a barracks in the vicinity of Attleborough early 1900's. Edith had 2 Children 1906 & 1907 and eventually Married 2008 in Dorchester. I have george's Army record to approx 1912 but this does not show his 1st.W.W. service.
Brian.

Gearge Alfred Smith, I wonder if he may have been attached to a Norfolk Regiment after the dragoons, he would have a different regiment number if so, the main Barracks were BRITANNIA BARRACKS in Norwich, however i do beleive Attleborough had a small barrack room during wwi & wwii. Try using the the wwi request here http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,397.0.html see if some one might find a medal card.
You mention Eccles Farm I beleive i pass this farm when i take my daughter to school that way, i will keep an eye out... PM me the google reference.
