On the 1851 census notebook for Kimberley (Kimberley Knowle, Kimberley) (ref HO 107/2125) the following household appears :
Thomas Sisson (head) - 30 years, coal miner, born Strelley, Notts Rachel Sisson (wife) - 27 years, domestic work, born Yorkshire William Sisson (son) - 6 years, scholar, born Greasley, Notts Mary Ann Sisson (dtr) - 5 years, scholar, born Greasley Thomas Sisson (son) - 1 year, born Greasley.
