UK Incoming passenger list 1878-1960
« on: Saturday 18 April 09 19:03 UTC (UK) »

Can anyone find me a record of Frank Henry Driver sailing into Liverpool from USA?

He was born in Hallaton, Leicestershire in 1893, and crossed the border from Canada into the USA during WW1, arriving in Buffalo USA on Feb 11th 1918.

He had married Marth Ann Townsend in Market Harborough, Leics, in Sept 1917.  I don't know whether his wife  joined him in the USA, or how long he was there, but they had a child born in Market Harborough in 1927, so he was back by then.

Any help would be much appreciated,
   Cheers,
        Pat.

Hi Ritchie, and thanks very much for the information.  It was his mother, Clara, that I was researching, she being my grandmother's sister. I just came across the snippet about her son from someone on Genes Reunited. This will be of help as it is information that I hadn't got.
  Thanks again,
     Cheers,
         Pat.

Hi-I found this

Frank Henry Driver / 25 / b abt 1893/ departed New York, arriving in Liverpool  23 Feb 1918.  The name of the ship was St Paul, the shipping line name was American Line.  His occupation was listed as farmer.  The country of last residence was listed as Canada, intended residence was listed as England.

There are other Frank Drivers listed, but two have a wife Louise, the others have a wife named Minnie.
