I have now a question mark on this Janet. Trying to verify anything on this Janet b. Westerkirk, I can see a marriage between a John Thomson and a Barbara Purves in Westerkirk in 1789. Given this was the name of what looks like first born daughter post Murray marriage..... Undecided

Never mind Steve, at least we have potential Dad well and truly in the frame  Grin A potential brother to Hector, a George Hall b. England, sheep dealer is also showing in 1841.
