When you look on the I.G.I for anything.It will say something like it was submitted by a member,probably the information THEY have.It could be wrong.The information was not from the records, It was one of these submitted info's on the I.G.I that sent me up the wrong tree many years ago when i was new to family reseach.I can only remember finding my G.Grandfather in Scotland and his parents names.A birth i think,so off i went up that tree and it didn't make sense.Things just didn't add up,it was only maybe 12 months later,i found some new info that told me.The submitted info had put my G.Grandfather with the wrong parents 
So always take submitted info with a pinch of salt,as we say
