outgoing List check
« on: Wednesday 15 April 09 08:36 BST (UK) »

Hi,

I have found the family of cousins on an index of outgoing passengers .  All well and good apart from the fact that the father appears as well. I had been told that he had died  on Empire Day 1907 just before the family left England and there is a BMD for him of the correct age in 1907. I am waiting for the 1911 to become subscription, but in the meantime it would be nice to know what it says about him.

He is Jethro Drinnan, departure 1907 for Sydney.

Thanks,
Deryck

The name of Mr Jethro Drinnan, Farmer, age 42, is crossed out on the passenger manifest. There is a line drawn through the name.

Whoops, I realised I posted this to the wrong list, just after I did it.

Thanks for the reply, looks like the original information was correct. Empire day is the 24th of May so the date of departure ties in. It must have been a bit of a shock as I believe the rest of the family went out , including his wife (there are 11 Drinnans listed including Jethro).

Thanks again,
Deryck
