pls can anyone help find information on my g grandfather timothy doyle.

he was born in 1852 in mayo swinford but came to uk (dont know when)

the earliest census found for timothy is in 1881, where he lived in west bromwich.

he married a catherine mcdermott on the 25 oct 1877 in west bromwich. and shown on the marriage certificate was his father martin doyle who was deseased

you mention if Timothy is Catholic or Church of Ireland (or other) ... but there's a map of Mayo RC parishes on the Irish  Times website :

  http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/browse/counties/rcmaps/mayorc.htm

If you click of the parish you get a list of which Swinford records survive.

Some  Co. Mayo parish transcripts are included on the Irish Family History Foundation website at http://www.irish-roots.ie/  (paysite €5 per record)

edit : I dont see Swinford parish on the list at the IFHF sources, just Civil records (starting 1864)
