Hi,
Is anyone able to tell me anything about "The Railway Foundry" Caversham Road. My great uncle William Hood is mentioned in a post office listing dating 1869 as an iron founder. William was also mayor of Reading from 1866-67. Did he own the foundry, as when he died in 1892 he did leave quite a considerable amount of money.
