multiple identities

Does RootsChat permit its members to register under two or more names?  Other message generally do not permit this practice but it seems to be quite common here.

We know that there are some members who have multiple identities, but as long as there is no intention to deceive we have no major problems with this - rather like our ancestors who were called Henry at birth, but decided to be known as Bill by everyone else.

We also know that there are some members who suddenly have problems entering the site and therefore use a second identity. These members usually tend to make this clear, ie. "Name1" or "Name." instead of "Name" and say publicly, why they have done this.

However, if someone creates an identity simply in order to get around the rules / guidelines or to pretend that they are not who they have been, then this is a problem.

This site is based on trust - trust that members join the forum to give and receive help.

Creating multiple identities "just for fun" abuses that trust and is also totally time-wasting for those members who take the time and effort to greet newcomers to RootsChat.

Any examples of this that are found are likely to result in an automatic ban.
