Broseley Shropshire
« on: Thursday 24 September 09 10:49 UTC (UK) »

My family surname of LLoyd originates around the village of Broseley in Shropshir UK.
I have researched this area and have a limited ammount of  material upon which to work.I am generally intigued by my family history who produced several generations of carpenters,Blacksmiths and engineers in sucession, not surrprising since this are was the cradle of the industrial revolution.
If any fellow travellers out there have similar interests, please feel free to e-mail me,Cheers, greg

Hi, Greg

I have a branch of Lloyd's that married into my family from Broseley.  I'm still working on them.

Mine is Margaret Lloyd who was born 1801 in Broseley her parents were John Lloyd c1778  and  Mary c1776.  She went  on to marry my great x 5 grandfather John Bullock born 1800.  They married in 1823 you never know there might be a connection?
