I believe Anna married Paul Leggett, a Baker, in W Newton in abt 1832, but need confirmation of her surname as I can't find the marriage on Free Reg, and she is only shown as Ann on FamliySearch.

The Ann(a) who married Paul is shown on FamilySearch as the mother of Thomas James Leggett, my Ggrandfather - also a Baker, in Sedgeford. She also appears in the 1841 - 1881 Censuses.

I have searched everywhere I can think of, but can't find her maiden name. Any help would be welcome.

Why not send for his birth certificate - it will cost you £7 - it will confirm his mothers name.

Thanks, Laurina. Can't think why I haven't done this already! Maybe I wasn't  thinkiing later than 1837. Kicking myself! Have sent off for Cert.
