i am tryin to find out if anyone as any info on charles ward b,1786 he married a woman called mahala,,,b 1786 in henfield sussex i found them on the 1841 census at toveys lodge with alfred,b 1826,dose,nt say if he,s a son then on 1851 census they are at hope cottage in henfield, i would like any info on any children and mahala maiden name , thanks

There seems to be a large gap between the marriage and the christenings. May be they lost a few children. It seems unlikely they had a son charles who married a Mahala. Could there be 2 Charles & Mahalas do you think?

I had a look at the marriage on the Sussex Marriage Index and can add
Charles Ward - bachelor, minor wcof Henry Ward
Mahala Vinall - spinster botp, by licence
The Index has the marriage as 21 November 1804
