Anybody going to Eckington Cemetery?
« on: Tuesday 21 April 09 23:33 UTC (UK) »

Hi this is a long shot but i was just wondering if anybody is going to Eckington Cemetary? Ive located two graves which i believe are next to each other in the cemetery, i have the grave numbers and details but its a long way from me and i was wondering if anybody would be able to take photos of the two gravestones for me. I know its a lot to ask but its worth a try. Thanks for reading,
Luke

Hi Anne.

It shouldn't be long before they produce a disc...I have been harrassing them for the past 4 years.

Hi Anne.

Thank you very  much for the web link for Eckington parish church.

The link is to the cemetery burial records NOT the church burial registers.

The cemetery had its own chapels.

Hope you are well

Hey Tuppie, thanks for the offer, i really appreciate it. The two graves are:
6996 - Thomas Hadfield d. 1933 aged 64
            Sarah Ann Hadfield d. 1916 aged 42
5991 - Betsy Davies d. 1914 aged 49
           James Davies d. 1934 aged 77

I was told by my mum that she thinks the graves are next to each other but if theyre not or if you cant find them dont worry its the thought that counts. Thankyou again,
Luke

Hello Luke.

I have checked both grave locations along with John Green the cemetery caretaker, and there are no gravestones on either grave.

I also confirmed the burial details with the grave register.

The graves are in line with each other but there is eight rows between them.

Kind Regards
