Maidmarianoops  Thanks for your latest.  My George Bond died a few days prior to 25th December 1829,  his inquest was held on the 25/12/1829.  See report in Derby Mercury 6/1/1830.  That is all I can find out.  He seems to have disappeared from then.  I was asking somewhere whether there would be Coroner's records which would show whether the family claimed the body for burial or whether the Coroners Department would have disposed of it, maybe in an unmarked grave shared by others.  The only other place I have been told might be a possibility if he was a non-conformist which is possible as his first child a daughter was christened in Wesleyan Church in Belper.  Don't know where the two boys were christened.  Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! our three weeks sunny warm temperatures have gone, the grey skies and rain are back. BAH.  Hope all is well with you.  Our Spring Flowers and Blossom are being more prolific and that's nice.  I have a small plot of Earlicheer which have a strong perfume and when I go out the front door it hits you.  One of the nice things in life.  BELLBIRD

Maidmarianoops  Hi there,  to quote Professor Higgins of My Fair Lady  I think she's got it.  Great joy and jubilation.  The reference you quoted, what does it refer to and is that online, no one else has had any luck, Historical Society and all.
Would love to be able to chase it up  and maybe go back further in the family.
Back to ground level, no I didn't get an email, will go onto PM and put it on there in case it differ from the address you have.  You've made my day.  Going out country this afto to meet a cousin from Mum's family so rather distant but he has alot of Cranch info he tells me and has brought it down on his visit to Southbridge and will show me if I go out there.  So two good things to day.  BELLBIRD

Evening Maidmarionoops   Thanks for the reference for a burial for George Bond RG40114.  Where would this reference be, i.e. where would I look it up.  I went onto a Derbyshire Council site and found the following reference for a burial of a George Bond DCCRef No.DJO26XE.  What would this refer to, is it a different source to the one you sent me or just another place where I could find the same info?  Would I have to get the Derbyshire Council folk to research it for me?  BELLBIRD

Hi Bellbird

Thanks for the PM. I will answer on this thread so anyone else involved in this search can see.

I sent you a link for the Records Office at Matlock. The reference I would imagine is a document reference and perhaps not anything you can check online. I should try to email the RO to see what they say it belongs to and if you can order a copy.
