Letter from Forglen School, 1843. No replies. Completed.

In the 1960's my father visited Banffshire. For some reason, unknown to me, he was given a letter dated 13th February 1843.

The letter was sent from Forglen School. It related to James Smith. It says that, his father, James Smith was drowned in the Bay of Banff about 5 years earlier.

James's mother was Jean Cowie. James was Baptised on the 5th of March 1834 in Forglen.

If anyone has any knowledge of this family I would be very pleased to hear from them.

The letter was sent to Mr Smith, Schoolmaster, Macduff.
