Hi,

I am trying to find the parents/siblings of John Sergant/Sargeant/Serjeant.

He married Mary Ann Malpas 1853.

The 1861 census shows him born Astley Abbots age 36.

I have found a John Sergant on the 1851 census in Worfield, Shropshire born Astley Abbots age 23. He is with a William Sergant and Elizabeth Sergant born North Thor, Worcestershire. I don't know if this is the right family though.

  There is this record of a baptism...

  John Matthew Sargeant bap 15 Oct 1826 Astley Abbotts  father William  mother Elizabeth

  sibling listed also are ... Joseph Sargeant 3 feb 1828
                                        George Sargeant 4 April 1830
                                        Mary Ann Sargent 4 March 1832.

  Also in Astley Abbotts at around the same time are a Richard & Mary but they do not have a John baptised.

  The marriage cert would give fathers occupation to tie in the census.
