Hi Listers,
                 my web site at http://www.theoldmeadows.co.uk now contains paged entitled "Victorian Album" and "Old Soldiers". These are old photographs from my collection.
Not all the photgraphs have names to them but if anyone wants a copy of any of the photographs PM me and I will gladly send one to you.
Please note that the Victorian photographs, I think, are mostly Nottingham people. The soldiers are from all over England. Please note also that the site is best viewed at 1680 x 1050 screen resolution. Any lower and the pictures will appear off screen.
I hope the photographs are of interest to some of you.

Hi Paul,

The military photo's are smashing, the one entitled "The Grooms", look to be the 1st Eleven football team for the Royal Marines.

Yes in them days Batley was warmer in the winter with the heat that came out of the spinning sheds of the woollen mills, I should know I've stood by them many a time when I was a lad.

I'm a long way from Nottingham and have no connection but I really enjoyed reading through the memories section of your website.  It really brings the place to life.
