Charles A 1873 Furniture remover m Ada Elizabeth Wheat
Lawrence 1874 Butcher m Sarah Lowe
Annie 1876 Lace machinist
George I- 1877-1885
Edwin 1879 Painter/decorator
Grace 1880 Sewing machinist m Charles Webb
Leonard 1882 Plumber
Clarence 1885 Cabinet maker/School Teacher- m Annie Robinson
Mary (Polly) 12/9/1885-1970 m Claude William Herbert Halling
Nellie1887 Never married  Seamstress
Louie 1889 Never married  Seamstress
George II- 1891 m Ethel

Anyone able to give further info re MBD, following generations upto present, photos, family anecdotes, etc.?

Hi Hound,

Not sure if you already have this, but Edwin seems to marry Sarah Ann Hardy in 1904. By 1911 they have one daughter, Eva, born 1906.

Leonard Braithwaite marries Kate Maude Start in 1910. (I can only one Braithwaite birth with mother's maiden name Start, in 1920)

Alfred marries Nellie Eliza Gains in 1895.

Children that I can see: Florence Eliza 1896, Charles William ca. 1899, Alfred (who was 2 days old when the 1901 census was taken), James 1904 and Rowland 1906.

There's a likely death registration in Sep 1919.

(Funny their births were registered as Saxton Braithwaite but they marry as plain Braithwaite)

There's a possible marriage William Braithwaite - Edith E Reed in 1913, Nottingham but I don't know if it's your William.

Then there's marriage George S Reed - Ethel M Boss, Sep 1928

Re sarah Ann Hardy, Edwin's wife.... Story goes that she died when her bike was in collision with bus in Keyworth area.  Date not known.

RE Father of 14 Charles Braithwaite... Was born 1846 Charles Saxton, son of Sarah Saxton.  She married 1850 Wm Braithwaite & Charles took his name... but christened all his 14 "Saxton Braithwaites"  A tribute to his mother who died 1854!?!

Edwin 1879 Painter/decorator m Sarah Ann Hardy 1904. She died 1930 in road accident in Keyworth.  Daughter Eva b 1906
