LITTLE FAMILY OF ESKDALEMUIR
« on: Saturday 25 April 09 00:28 UTC (UK) »

Hi all, I'm brand new to RootsChat and have an urgent request. I am traveling to Scotland next week and am seeking information to help me find family graves. Here's what I know:

John Little b.22Aug 1732 at Tawnla Hill, Eskdalemuir
                 m. Mary Johnstone b.18Nov1746
their son:
William Little b.22Nov1749 Eskdalemuir
                     m. Janet Chalmers
their son:
William Little b. 22Dec 1786 d. 1830Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA
                     m. Mary Johnstone b. 1792 d. 14 Aug 1820 Charleston, SC, USA

The above information came to me through some kind genealogist's work. She references BT's Eskdalemuir Parish GS102,317. Does that mean anything to anyone?

I am looking for any information on the early generations and their burial places. Also information on the ship on which William and Mary sailed to Charleston in 1818-19.

Many thanks to anyone who can help. If anyone needs information regarding this family after they left Scotland, I have detailed information to the current generation and am happy to share.
