Help required to find Robert Crothers from South Carolina to Ireland 1801 - 1826
« on: Saturday 25 April 09 11:37 BST (UK) »

My GGGGrandfather Robert Crothers/Crowther was born in South Carolina about 1801 to British Parents.  His son John King Crothers was born in Ireland in abt 1826.  Therefore Robert appears to have travelled from South Carolina to Ireland somewhere between 1801 and 1826.  Has anyone any idea where there may be a record of this journey?  Were passports required or some other emmigration paperwork?

regards

Peter Crowther
