Thanks to you all.

That is the one. I just did not know where she was in 1901 as her husband, now out of the army is a lodger elsewhere. They are together with their children in Basingstoke 1911.

Yes me too but it is right in other respects and there isn't any other person to fit, that can see.

There are no births for Winifred May Snell, or Mercer, in or around 1857.
But Winifred May Snell was born in 1877, St Austell, 5c/116

He is born  Broughton, Lancs 1873
