Marriage Muckalee 1853

On the 27th June 1853 a Patrick Colgan married a Ann Murphy at Muckalee, Corcullen, Co Kilkenny, this marriage I have been told was in the RC chapel and that the witnesses were Patrick Murphy and Ann Murphy, my question is would the entry in the register give the fathers names as in a civil marriage? if so from where one can get a copy or the information from the entry, bearing in mind I live in Australia?

The level of detail included in parish records can vary quite a bit, not just from parish to parish but also depending on the current PP. For some ancestors of mine (occurs both in Ireland and England) the parish marriage records just have date, bride's (maiden) name, grooms name, minister/priest and parish name. No addresses or parents.

Other details from a north Co. Dublin parish included details on both mothers (with maiden names) and fathers and addresses for everyone, including the witnesses!
