Joel Jones, b. 1849, Church Aston.

Hi all,

Looking for anything on Joel Jones; he was christened at Church Aston in October 1849, son of Edward and Jane.

Then what happened to him ? No early death on BMD but can't find him in any of the census records.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Maurice,

This looks like his birth registration:

Joel Jones     DecQ 1849    Newport S'p    18   124   (from FreeBMD)

Might get some clues from his father's occupation.  Is emigration a possibility?

Hi Nanny Jan,

Thank-you, I did find that Birth registration and I know that father, Edward, was a miner; possibly in the local Limestone mines. Also I have an older brother, also Edward b. 1846, in 1861 census and later.

But there seems to be nothing in 1851 and a lack of information for Joel at all.
