I maybe be missing something here? but you would not think that Helen Hutton was the Daughter of Robert and Christian as she was born well after this couple arrived in South Australia and is not showing as a birth to them but then all births were not registered.
I wondered if she was connected to Robert Hutton and Eliz Downey on whom we did a very detailed thread last year, but her birth does not appear to be registered in SA
I could not see any births to the James Wittaker and Helen Hutton either

Dear Jenn,
As much as it would thrill me to have another relative, this family doesn't seem to be related to Robert and Catherine.......well, not through the Australian families that we have unearthed.......however, this family and Robert were both from Scotland, so it is possible there is a connection back in the land of the tartan.

Yes I did realise that having read through all my notes on the family etc but threw it in the mix just in case and of course to point out there was at least one more Robert Hutton in SA at that time.
AS Kris says she feels she is on the right track
Iam wondering who Whitty is related too?

My other thought on this Helen Hutton is of course she may not have even been born in South Australia and may have arrived a few years at the most before the marriage.
Her death certifcate should state where she was born if the informant knew at all.
