If anybody can please confirm which of those would have been in operation around 1825-1831 it should help us to pinpoint the likley candidates.

Not too good on this part of the world but the BVRI has the following at Sedgley

Thomas ROBERTS   Age22   Father  Benjamin ROBERTS      
Mary LLOYD   Age22   Father  John LLOYD
   Married   2 Dec 1850 at    Sedgley, Staffordshire

Well i got the certificate pointed out by Rosie99 and it appears to be the first marriage (thankyou Rosie!).

It shows the father as Benjamin a miner and interestingly a witness is Esther Roberts - which ties in with the 1851 census that Pamjd found!  So another thank-you!!!  No i just need to find 1841!

I think i have found Benjamin Roberts christening in Wolverhampton with parents Joseph and Esther too!

But still can't find a christening for Thomas or his likley siblings Esther, Joseph, Ann and Benjamin.....

I have just found your progress on Thomas Roberts, wife Jane Suker.
His grandson Ben Roberts was my grandfather and I have a few photos of him and one of his father, George Roberts . I have tried also to find more info on Thomas, and was wondering if you can confirm the info from your previous messages : father Benjamin Roberts, mother ? Mary Corbett.
