Everitt RICKARD - St. Columb 1874
« on: Thursday 23 April 09 05:32 UTC (UK) »

He was born in the March quarter of 1874.   Birth recording spells first name as ‘Everet’.   Need to confirm if Everitt’s had a second name and if it was Tremaine – if yes then he was married at St. Columb in 1905.

Can we confirm date of birth/christening?
Any way of confirming whether his second name was “Tremaine”?

Hi Peter,

His birth is registered as Everet as you say, but his mother seems to have been a Tremain ...

Marriage Dec 1866 St Columb 5c 173
Pascoe T Rickard - Gertrude Tremain

The 1911 census index shows an Everitt "Richard" with wife Annie in St Columb registration district.

I see Everitt had a brother Edgar who was also recorded as plain Edgar Rickard but married as Edgar Tremain Rickard  (Edgar Tremain Rickard - Annie Blanche Brewer Jun 1907 Truro)
FreeBMD mistranscribes him as Edgar Tremain Rickand

Good Evening Tati   Wink

Thank you for your reply.    As you can guess, I have used naming patterns to actually find a number of my relatives.   You posting has contributed to yet another pattern of naming.  Thank you.

Good Morning Tati

Thank you for your assistance.   I purchased a book on ST. Columb a couple of years ago.   It was well written I think by Ian Raby.   That was the first time I had come across the murder of Jessie.   It puts a different perspective on family history from the norm.
