Houghtons of Shardlow/Melbourne

Does anyone know if any Houghtons are still in the Shardlow or Melbourne areas? Common names are Lydia, Mary, William and John. In the late 1880s/early 1890s, most of my Great-grandfather William's family were in the shoe industry.
