Marquis/Bain/sinclair families

Hi,
I am looking for information about these families Marquis/bain and Sinclair.

These families lived in Tarbert loch Fyne, as far as I know they were all fishermen.

I know the Marquis family were fisherfolk,but dont know much about the Bain or Sinclair families who were married into the Marquis family.

There were other families married into these families,also from Tarbert.

Johnson, McMillan,Mc Eachern,Mc Corkindale to name a few.

Any help would be great

Just started this Family history thing looking for my wife's antecedents. Her grandfather was a John Macdonald about whom we know little.  He was born ca. 1861 and lived in Sorn village, Ayrshire, eventually marrying a Jeannie Macdonald from Killean on 10 Sep 1908 at Beachmore Farm, Muasdale.  A relative thinks he was an orphan but added that his only known relatives were called Bain and Ambrose. Specifically she mentions an Uncle Joseph and Aunty Margaret Ambrose with three girls and three other names - Margaret (Meg) Isobel (Tibbie) and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Bain. They lived in Glasgow.  Is this any help? John and Jeannie had three boys, one of them was my wife's father Edward.
