Stewart/Ferguson/Chalmers dilemma
« on: Friday 14 August 09 00:50 UTC (UK) »

Daniel Stewart dob 1848 Kilmadock
Married - 1879 Catherine Ferguson Kilmadock
Catherine dob 1861 Culross.
three children Elizabeth 188, John 1880, Margaret 1884 All at Doune.
Daniel Stewart dies 1884 Callander.
Catherine Ferguson re-marries Andrew Chalmers in Stirling 1886.
Two children Robert 1887 and Alexander 1889.

1891 census 23 Broad St Stirling and Andrew Chalmers is a police sargeant.
Elizabeth and Margaret are now listed as Chalmers !! with the two boys Robert and Alexander.

My dilemma is I cannot find hide nor hair of them after the 1891.  Nothing for 1901.

Can anyone help please as do not know whether the girls adopted the Chalmers name or reverted back to Stewart ?? All very confusing.
