thanks ricky ,wouldnt charles be a brother? theres only 7 yrs between them. he had 4 other brothers. i am new to all this . where would i go to ,to look this info up,.i am in us,thanks again for this,your the first one to do so. i thought i was never going to find anything on him .olive0

Your best bet is to get the birth certificate for Alexander W Clover, it will give his fathers name, and his mothers maiden name

thanks rick,they could be his brothers,i have a great photo of alexander all 4 brothers,&mum&dad ,.&do not know the names of any of them,. alexander remarried later when i dont know.will keep the info though.yes i need to get a birth certificate,to order by mail or email you have to have all the correct info,i have tried.thanks so much for your help .oliveo

You can order the birth cert and the marriage cert online from
www.gro.gov.uk
You only need the detials from the index which have been given to you on here. Make sure you give the ref number and then you only have to fill in the boxes with the red stars by them.
Hopefully if Alexanders parents are Charles and Alice nee Self, and then themarriage cert gives Charles's dad, you will be well away!
I have links with Clovers from Suffolk further back - perhaps we are distantly related!

i can only hope this is the right ones,i have been doing 3 familys at once,so its been a time,but a fun one. you never know we could be distantly related. i could not help too much with the clovers as i never new any of them,. maybe we can exchange info,. thanks for the help. oliveo
