RG11  P. 1679  Fol. 44  Pg. 21

Needham Street, Grazeley, Suffolk

Just to confirm the 1881 information kindly found for you by Mum44   Grin

This Needham* is a hamlet of 900 acres to the north of the village of Gazeley, which is not far from Newmarket.  Very much Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border country.

Needham in the mid 1800s (source White's) shows that there was Needham Hall occupied/rented by Mr Henry Webb and seven tied cottages, although the hamlet was owned by Charles Eaton Hammond Esq.

*  The other Needham, Needham Market is over near to Stowmarket.
