Completed Local Knowledge Ancroft Area
« on: Monday 27 April 09 18:33 UTC (UK) »

Hi
I seem to have a mismatch with a census for 1861. I have William Curel born Ancroft which I belive is Lowick.
I have him in 1891 and it says born Oxford Oxfordshire !!!  trawled the internet and found an Oxford Farm Shop, Ancroft. Is their an Oxford area of Ancroft  please???

Thanks for any information

Grid reference for Oxford is NU000460

 Within the web site  www.genuki.org.uk
 ( >England>Counties>Northumberland> individual parish>Nearby Places)
is info on places within each individual parish.

There is also an interactive map of Northumberland divided by it's 114 parishes, circa mid 1800s.
A click on a specific parish will lead to the a-z of that parish.
