Further info on John Sultzer please
« on: Tuesday 28 April 09 01:45 UTC (UK) »

I'd be grateful for anything more on John Sultzer d. Queensby 26.12.1782; buried Burton Overy 29.12.1782. He was married to Christian Woodward; all children born in Burton Overy. I have a few references to a surveyer John Sultzer in Norfolk (a2a) 1769 and also to one of Burton Overy applying for partition in1779. Are they the same one? As he seems to have been born c 1743-1749 ( I have Burton Overy, but it may not be) it means he died under 40 (possibly an accident?), so is there possibly a newspaper obituary or any other info?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Frances

I found this on Google Books,  which says that it is the same man,  John Sultzer of Burton Overy surveying in Norfolk, and dying in 1782

Debbie, thanks so much. Every little bit helps to add to the bigger picture, as they say! And it has given me another name to check too.

Dear Sheila
Sorry not to have responded before this - family and computer difficulties - but I did want to thank you v. much for the links - I had no idea I would be able to see my 4xg-grandfather's will - amazing! Also found heaps on Sultzer and Woodward families via gravestones on the Leicestershirevillages sites.
Thanks again.
