Good Evening Friends

Genealogy is like looking for the "needle in a haystack' - trouble is there are many haystacks.   Here is an interesting example.   William was the second child of Thomas Rickard and Mary Pascoe.   His birth date is unknown but he was christened 28 December 1741 St. Columb Minor, Cornwall, England.   No other records about marriage and death have been uncovered.    William had a brother Pascoe Thomas who was christened on 13 October 1840 in St. Columb Minor Cornwall England.   There is some suggestion that William joined his father on the seas as a mariner.

Any suggestions about where to start looking for details of mariners would be appreciated.   Alternatively, any information would be appreciated.

Good Afternoon Fizzy

Unfortunately the cold weather has made my mind 'fuzzy'.   The brother's correct christening is 1740 - just a mere hundred earlier than my original posting.   Hope that now puts my question into a better perspective.
