Could anyone please help me with a look up in the 1851 & 1861 census? I am looking for:

George Loader born 1807 / 1811 Sherbourne ( Blacksmith / Grinder ? )
Elizabeth born 1807 / 1811

They should be living in Sherbourne

( Its not the family with children Alfred / Selina / Simeon /Isabella /

Any help would be gratefully recieved

Hi mum44,

Yes i do believe this is my George Loader now, i was unsure at first but now through your hard work i am now convinced this is one and the same? What confused me was that he is now widowed his wife Elizabeth must have died before 1851.

There were 4 Elizabeth Loader deaths registered 1841 - 1851 in Sherbourne:

Q2. 1842  Vol 8 .  Pg. 71

Q1. 1845.  Vol.8  Pg. 80

Q2. 1850  Vol. 8  Pg. 73

Q1. 1851  Vol.8  Pg. 85

On the 1851 census the box for status is a bit of a mess -  I have put ? on the other thread  Undecided    Maybe Elizabeth had only just died and George filled out Mar and changed it to Wid, resulting in the blob  Huh    Just a thought - maybe the 1851 death is yours  Huh
