4 Generations of Wilsons

Hi all, I'm in need of a little help, so I'm just going to put the information down and see if anyone out there can find a solution.
In looking for the sons and daughter of John Wilson(Pilot) b.1804, St Andrew, m.1830, St Andrew, d.1885, St Andrew, and Jane/Jean Morrison b.1809, St Andrew, d.1858, St Andrew.
Jane/Jean (Jr) b.1831, St Andrew. Not on the 1841 census with family, but is on the 1851 census. Maybe married Andrew McWilliam in 1851? Family? Death?
William b. 1838, St Andrew. On the 1851 census with family, 12 years old, occupation seaman. No record afterwards. Family? Death?
Robert Boyack b.1840, St Andrew. On the 1841 census with family, but cant be found until I believe the 1881 census on the Ship "Jessie" in Dundee Family/Wife? Death?
Alexander b.1847, St Andrew. On the 1851 census after that no record. May have sailed to Australia to work with brother John (b.1833)? Wife/family? Death?
Other particulars: Siblings
David Morrison Wilson b.1836, St Andrew m. 1864, Mary Gray Fortune. d. 1889, At Sea Occ.Master Mariner
Daniel Morrison Wilson b. 1844, St Andrew m.1864, Alexia Henderson d.1926, St Andrew Occ:Master Mariner
John Wilson b.1833, St Andrew m.1863, Australia- Mary Maria Delarue d.Unknown, before 1902 Occ: Master Mariner
Thank you for your time, if their is any additional information needed please ask.
Cheers

Carolew, Thank you for your help. I have been to the site, and have done as much as i could without wasting to much money.
Their are some wonderful people on this site, who have access to a huge amount more of information, than i do, that doesn't cost anything.
Thank you again.

There's a Wilson family here in St Andrews with connections to the sea. I remember Bob putting out in his creel boat ("Bonnie Lass" I think is was named) from for many years. I'm not sure if he still does.
Have you tried this site www.familysearch.org ?
Here's what I came up with: Results for: Any Event, 1825 - 1865, Fife, Scotland, British Isles
Father: John Wilson, Mother: Jean Morrison
Children:
1. JEAN WILSON - Gender: Female Birth: 28 JUN 1831 St. Andrews And St. Leonards, Fife, Scotland 2. DANIEL WILSON - Gender: Male Birth: 13 SEP 1844 St. Andrews And St. Leonards, Fife, Scotland 3. JOHN WILSON - Gender: Male Birth: 31 JUL 1833 St. Andrews And St. Leonards, Fife, Scotland 4. ALEXANDER WILSON - Gender: Male Birth: 15 FEB 1847 5. ALEXANDER WILSON - Gender: Male Christening: 23 FEB 1847 St. Andrews And St. Leonards, Fife, Scotland 6. WILLIAM WILSON - Gender: Male Birth: 18 OCT 1838 St. Andrews And St. Leonards, Fife, Scotland 7. ROBERT BOYACK WILSON - Gender: Male Birth: 31 DEC 1840 St. Andrews And St. Leonards, Fife, Scotland 8. DAVID MORRISON WILSON - Gender: Male Birth: 13 MAY 1836 St. Andrews And St. Leonards, Fife, Scotland
The 'St Andrews And St Leonards' refers to the PARISH but the births may have been within the town of St Andrews itself
I did a 'blind' search of the OPR on Scotlandspeople for Surname: WILSON Forename: JEAN Sex: Female Date From: 1 June 1831 Date To: 31 July1831 County: FIFE Parish: St Andrews
... and there were two possible matches.
Could be worth your while buying some credits and following up the other children to get their Birth records at least.
Regards

Aye mair questions than answers in a world where the past was a different place - that cannae be revisited! Family surnames being researched ... Crawford, Neilson, Lindsay, Reekie, Davidson Drummond, Pearson, Laing ... will do for starters but there's a whole lot more! Census information Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Hi Grimnar, My Mother was Euphemia Fortune Wilkson, she had a sister Margaret(Peggy) Mary Fortune, and a brother John Fortune Wilson. Their Parents were Margaret Wilson (nee MacGillivray ex Nairn) and John Fortune Wilson. His father was Captain David Wilson of Fortune Villa,Lade Braes St.Andrews, His uncle (I think) was Captain Daniel Wilson of Kinkell Brae,St.Mary Street,St.Andrews and as a little girl I spent many happy hours with Aunt Jane and aunt Mina (Wilhemina), sorting silks in their embroidery shop in South Street and visiting with them at home. My mother nursed both of them through their last illnesses. From previous correspondence, It looks as though we are related, I have a photograph of John Wilson,Pilot, perhaps we can share more information? Regards Heather

Heather, I knew if I were persistant enough, eventually someone related would find my posts concerning the Wilson's.
I would be more than happy to exchange information and would very much like to pick your brain about our ancestors in the 'old country'.
