Oyne Village Help
« on: Wednesday 29 April 09 15:44 UTC (UK) »

All my family seem to be originating from Oyne starting in 1876. I am researching the Milne family. Does anyone have any history with Oyne or know anything about it in the olden times?

Hi Gemma

A couple of links about the area:

Oyne Cemetary Transcriptions. There are quite a few Milnes here, including this which i think might be one of yours?
"In loving memory of ELIZA KEMP beloved wife of GEORGE MILNE late of Maxhill, Oyne who died Nov. 10th 1916 aged 80 years, also the said GEORGE MILNE who died Nov. 14th 1928 aged 91 years.  MILNE"
