Hello Tati,
I do not have details of 1861 Census however she appears as Gertrude on my grandmothers' birth and death certs and Elizabeth Catherine Gertrude on her own bc. The occupation of J B McGovern shown on the same cert matches that of the one you show from 1851 census. Elizabeth/Gertrude birth registered December 1851 so would not be in that census. Thank you for the information.

Hi
It looks like we may have a Yeates connection. I'm looking at my tree and have a Frederick Yeates born c1850 in Dublin, Ireland.
I have 3 children for him 1) Frederick John Yeates c1875 Black Rock, Dublin - 1918 France.
2) Marion Yeates c1877 Liverpool, England - c1936 Brisbane, Australia
3) Arthur Talbot Yeates 16 Feb 1880 147 Rosalind St, Kirkdale, Lancashire, England, UK.  -  c1950 California USA.
I was told the mother of these children and wife of Frederick Yeates was Gertrude McGovern but since the marriage of Frederick and Gertrude wasn't until March Quarter 1883 perhaps his first wife and Mother of these children is the Elizabeth and Gertrude is a second wife. What do you think? I've not had much luck getting marriage certs from Ireland. I did get one for Horatio Yeates and Kate Lucy Barrett but it showed their ages as full so wasn't much good at the time. Luckily their headstones in Tasmania were transcribed and gave age at death.
Cheers Katie

Hello Katie
My Yeates connection would start with Marion Yeates (grandmother) born 26/01/1877 Kirkdale died Brisbane 31/10/1936 as Marion Johnson. Her father Frederick Yeates married Elizabeth Catherine Gertrude McGovern 25/03/1883 at Liverpool, he bachelor aged 31 her spinster aged 30. The only info re his birth c1850 and his children come from 1881 Census when they lived at Liverpool. The age/birthplace details match yours. The question of Elizabeth/Gertrude McGovern may be resolved by the marriage details above and her bc. I am nearly certain they are the one. If you are satisfied from this info we have a common Yeates connection (I am ) we could share further details as I would love to know the birth parish for Frederick Yeates in Dublin.
Regards
Zane

Hi Zane
It's kind of funny that I've been researching for nearly 3 years and have finally found someone that lives in the same state as me.
my email address is (*) I can email you a Yeates tree. I do not have a source for Frederick Yeates born c1850 Dublin that is married to your Elizabeth Catherine Gertrude McGovern. As a couple they seem kind of hard to track down. Given that they keep changing the names they & their children were known by and the spelling for Yeates being transcribed as Yates one year at least. Do you know when Marion Yeates came to Australia?
Katie
