Need Help Finding out the facts:

Martha Nithsdale Forsyth was born in wigtownshire in 1827 I have as her parents James Forsyth and Jane Dodds but my cousin has a different name I need to know the name of her mother. We can't figure out were the Nithsdale comes from. Martha Married William Bitcon.

1902 BITCON MARTHA   FORSYTH F Died aged  74 LARBERT /STIRLING 485/A0 0167


If so her parents were James Forsyth and Jane Nithsdale.

Hello Lynn,

According to the IGI, there is a birth of a Martha Forsyth, 18/Nov/1827, Kirktown, Wigtown, to parents James Forsyth, and Jean Nithsdale.

There is also another birth to this couple Mary Ann Forsyth, 05/Nov/1829. Minnigaff, Kirkcudbright.

The surname Nithsdale, has very few records B.m.ds. in Scotland.
